At Almost Home Dubuque we serve and support our neighbors in need through two outreach programs(AH shelter and Open closet).

Almost Home

Almost Home provides a safe and stable environment for dads with their children to get off of the streets and work toward a positive, long-term outcome. We provide case managers to work with dads to develop a plan for employment, parenting skills, and financial planning skills. We work with children to ensure their well-being through caring adults who accompany them as they enter pre-school or attend school.

The Open Closet

The Open Closet is open to the public in need. Men, women and children of all ages are welcome. Items are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and completely free of charge.

All inventory is received through donations of clothing, shoes, hygienic and household items; and are accepted and stocked by the Open Closet Crew.
